Edith Pinhoe is the Gammer of the Pinhoe family and grandmother of Marianne Pinhoe. She resides in Woods House until the events of The Pinhoe Egg see her move out and the house sold. She went mad when Farleigh Gaffer Jed Farleigh shouted at her. She also attacked the various nurses who came to help her with grandfather clocks, claiming that they could not do magic.
